The homeopathic remedy pulsatilla, made from the pasque flower

Pulsatilla is one of the most versatile homeopathic remedies. Fantastic for children, especially when they’re feeling clingy or if they’re gentle souls who’re easily reduced to tears. It will be particularly useful come September for kids clinging to your skirt tails sobbing at the school gate – as well as for you when you get back to the car and need a good cry (I remember it well)!

We renamed this remedy ‘puss-atilla’ in our house because it’s so great for puss and snot – the thicker and more yucky the better! But it’s an invaluable remedy, made from the pasque or wind flower, for all sorts of other things…

  • PMS
  • Irregular periods, late periods, lack of periods (amenorrhea)
  • Painful periods (dysmenorrhea)
  • Menopause
  • Earache
  • Styes and conjunctivis
  • Teenage acne

It’s a godsend for children and women when they come over all wimpy and weepy! Many kids benefit from regular doses of pulsatilla (at dosages available only from homeopaths) as they move through puberty, and if you’re a woman of a certain age and you find you’re getting teary over the most ridiculous small things, then pulsatilla is your go-to.

I specialise in the treatment of women’s hormones and would love to help you with your hormonal issues, especially if you are wanting to avoid taking HRT.
