Hannah Bimpson came to teaching yoga from a background as a professional dancer.
‘Yoga has always been something that goes hand in hand with dance but my real love for it started around four years ago when I began taking regular classes. I soon knew it was something I wanted to teach and began working towards my teacher training. I decided that for me it was important to go to the root and study in India. I was very lucky and was able to get a place at AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, a beautiful place just outside of Mysore.
I want to be able to help people feel happy and healthy, in both the physical and mental. I encourage people of all ages and abilities to try something new, whether that's starting something from scratch, a new style of class or a new teacher. We can learn so much from each other if we open our hearts, drop our judgement, breathe and stay present.
Yoga has given me tools, confidence and more clarity in myself than I ever thought possible. Sharing my passion is something very important to me which is what led me to teach.
Being able to see a change and growth in any individual is something very special, but being part of the reason for that change is something beyond words.'
Hannah is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance-registered teacher, in traditional hatha yoga, from the AyurYoga EcoAshram in Mysore, India.
