I came to homeopathy 21 years ago when my daughter was nine months old and I had mastitis. An NCT friend suggested homeopathic remedies and, well, I’ve never looked back – boob went from concrete solid, red hot raw and so painful I didn’t want my poor child near it to back in action within a day. First I was intrigued but sceptical, then I began to experiment with day-to-day remedies, then after seeing a homeopath I was a convert.
Since becoming a Reiki Master and Teacher in 2005, I have been using reiki to help people of all ages (from babies to the elderly) and with a variety of conditions – from stress-related complaints, emotional problems and anxiety, to injuries such as knee and back problems, to sleeping disorders, Parkinson’s disease and ME. Over the past seven years I have been using special flower essences to enhance and speed up the healing effects of reiki.
I am a qualified NLP practitioner (Neuro Linguistic Programming), life coach, corporate and executive coach, business coach, trainer and mentor, accredited by the Coaching Academy. I am also a motivational speaker and enjoy taking many of my presentations to an audience.
I first became aware of energy work in the 1990s when searching for remedies for severe RSI, developed from years of costume designing. As an ex-registered nurse I have always been interested in getting to the root of health problems, not palliating symptoms. I was introduced to homeopathy, massage, reiki and cranial sacral therapy, each with positive results – but I was looking for something I could do for myself as and when required.
Hannah Bimpson came to teaching yoga from a background as a professional dancer.
‘I have always been very passionate about health and fitness, starting when I was three years old and decided I wanted to become a dancer. I spent the next 15 years dedicating my life to my dance and theatre training, including three years of professional training at one of London’s top musical theatre colleges.
Tracey-Lee’s motto is ‘Be nurtured by nature’. She has been a popular and respected massage therapist in the New Forest for over 10 years, bringing lots of different massage to the couch, from aromatherapy to hot stone, to lymphatic drainage and deep tissue, to bamboo massage. Her approach is holistic and intuitive: so you’ll be given the perfect treatment for exactly how you’re feeling on the day as well as your specific physical requests and needs.
I have been teaching baby massage to parents in the New Forest for 15 years. I trained in 2001 with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM) in London, the largest, longest-standing and only association dedicated solely to baby massage in the world. Our training is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.
My love of Traditional Chinese Medicine comes from many years of practising and teaching the martial art discipline of t’ai chi chuan. As well as being an acupuncturist, I hold regular tai chi classes at various locations within the New Forest area. I have been studying the art of t’ai chi chuan since 1986 and have been teaching since 1995.
I started to recognise my healing path in my late teens; I have always been very in tune with nature and had a deep desire to help people. I began my training with reiki, then a counselling certificate, then Swedish massage (now I specialise in nurturing massage with healing included) and going on to Bach Flower remedies.
For the past 25 years I have worked guiding people to live more fulfilled lives. The aim of empowerment coaching is to alleviate or decrease negative feelings, such as anxiety, hopelessness, fear, lack of self-worth, anger or distress, to give people strategies to find their optimum potential.
I am CEO of Acorn to Oak, the International School of Energy Medicine. My experience encompasses over 20 years in the field of orthodox medicine, specialising in trauma and intensive care, including work with the Red Cross and International Voluntary Services (IVS).
