Pilates has so many benefits and really is for everybody. It helps to develop strength, flexibility, endurance and posture without stressing joints. This makes it the perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, athletic training or rehabilitation. It is also an incredible tool for pre and postnatal mums. It can be used as a way of getting back your strength, energy and core stability without risking injury. It helps to restore the natural curves of the spine and focuses on core stability in the pelvic region, which in turn strengthens the back. It relieves tension and so encourages the body to move in correct alignment and with ease. Pilates is also effective at improving balance and reducing the postural imbalances that can cause instability.
To ensure everyone gets the most of the class, as verbal and physical corrections are an essential part of each session, classes are kept to just four. Any questions do not hesitate to contact me as once you start pilates I promise you won’t want to stop!
Rebecca is also a big advocate of yoga and likes to incorporate some yoga asanas (positions) into her pilates classes. Deeply spiritual, Rebecca also offers reiki and crystal healing at The Hub, and consistently lives in tune with the moon cycles and the astrological forecast, harnessing these powerful energies to become more in sync with Mother Nature and the cosmos.
Please wear comfortable clothes, bring some water and your own mat if you have one. Beginners can borrow one from The Hub.
