  1. Give every task you do your full attention – even simple things like the soap bubbles and warmth of water when washing your hands.
  1. Take a moment in your day to stop and notice how you feel. Maybe you are stuck in traffic and feel angry, maybe you are anxious due to a lack of time, maybe you are happy just to sit in the sunshine… acknowledge your emotion.
  1. Repeat a mantra often throughout your day. This can be a word or phrase that inspires you or is your goal for the day, something to motivate you. It can sound quite out there doing this, but it is a simple way to bring you back to the now and push out the mind chatter. Repeat the mantra in your mind or, preferably, out loud – and make sure you make it positive!
  1. Notice your breathing. Make it strong, full-body breathing.
  1. Take some exercise. Exercise releases endorphins, our happy hormones.
  1. Take a break. Get outside in the fresh air, feel the grass under your feet.
  1. Write your to do list. Accept that some things may not get done straightaway. And don’t forget to list some dreams, aims and aspirations
